“It’s never to late to be what you might have been”
The above quote is by George Eliot and it feel’s really appropriate to start my introduction to you. I’m Tania and I’ve always wanted to do embroidery and share my work but never felt brave enough to do so, but after a lot of encouragement from some dear friends, here I am, sharing and talking about my embroidery, the inspiration behind the embroideries and how embroidery helps my well-being.
I’ve embroidered ever since I was little girl and was taught by my Mum and Nanny. Both were very skilled needlewomen and dressmakers, and my Mum is always knitting. They tried to teach me knitting and crochet, but I struggled with both being left-handed. Embroidery became my thing.
In January 2020 I stated the Certificate course at the Royal School of Needlework and wanted to share my progress along the way, as well as my other embroidery projects.
